Thomaz Bellucci

Wawrinka moves on – Australian Open champion Stan Wawrinka battled past Brazilian Thomaz Belluci to seal his berth in the third round of the US Open here in New York in the early hours of Thursday. The match which began on Wednesday got over on a different day as after cruising his way through the first two sets, Wawrinka lost his focus and with the momentum as well in the third. And, he had his backs to the wall in the fourth as well as he was down a break in that one, but somehow found the spirit to fight it out courageously. After a number of failed chances, he finally broke back in the sixth game and eventually went on to prevail in a tiebreaker, which he totally dominated as he won all but one point in the breaker to close out the match in two hours and 36 minutes.
